• The R/O plant continues to produce excellent water. This summer we will have to do some maintenance to the membranes. The severe drought that is affecting this part of the state has probably lowered the aquifer level but it appears that the water plant is able to keep up with the high demand that King’s Gate Club experiences in season. As a matter of fact, the plant has been operating on only one well for the last two weeks with no problems.



• The Waste Water treatment plant has had very few problems this season. There have been only a few clogged lift station pumps. The new pumps at the lift station on Duchess have been mostly problem free. They pass the clogging stuff up to the sewer plant and Bob & Bill have to deal with cleaning the pumps up there now.



• There were six Air Conditioning units replaced, four in the Hall, one for the Book & Game Room and one for the shower building.



• The Spa has had problems with the jets. The collars that hold the jet fittings in place were wearing out and replacements were difficult to find. A dealer in Venice had a few and we bought them all. Hopefully, we can keep this popular amenity running smooth for a while now.



• As reported at the last meeting, the hedge between the Park’s boatyard & the KGC entrance drive has been cleaned out by removing the Brazilian pepper trees and bottle brush trees. The remaining viburnum has been trimmed. A few more viburnum will need to be added and by next fall the hedge should provide a nice screen between KGC & KGP



• Sarasota County has issued new, more restrictive watering regulations. A copy of these will be distributed to all homeowners. One of the regulations states that Fountains & Waterfalls can now be run only 4 hours per day. This restriction does not apply to the aerators in the lake. The Club has put timers on the fountain at the pool and the water fall at the gate.



• The lawn service has now gone to the every week mowing schedule. They are now bringing three crews in to complete the work in one day. Our day will be Thursday.



• Bill Nagle, our most recently hired staff person, experienced some shortness of breath and rapid pulse rate last week. After a whole series of tests, no medical problems were found.
